When did you start blogging and how did you come to the idea?
I’ve had so many blogs that I’ve lost track. I started my first, when I was about 13-14 years old. I wanted to share photos with others and sometimes I had things to say also (nothing deep though). I had a need to share, get noticed and be “out there”. Since I was really shy, this was a way to express myself more openly.

Who is your style icon? Why?
I don’t have a specific style icon, because I get inspiration from everywhere. It might be a girl walking by me on the street, video clip, a photo in the magazine etc.

How do you describe your personal style? What are your inspirations?
Always changing, I guess. I’m still finding it myself and it’s really hard to define it. I get inspiration from simplicity, comfort and flattering cuts. I know what I don’t like to wear and everything else is just a matter of mood, trends and comfort.

What are the essential pieces you must have in your closet?
I’ve always liked black jeans, but I’ve started to love cigarette trousers more. Also, white t-shirt, heels and a leather jacket. Then I’m good to go!

How often do you post? How do you come up with post ideas?
I post whenever I feel I have something to share (and when I have time to make a blog post about it), which happens 3-5 times per week. I get my ideas from different channels… for example, articles, conversations, photographs, new collections from different brands, weather, different places etc, and also from other bloggers.

What would you describe the biggest challenge in fashion blogging?
Being unique, trendy and stylish at the same time.

What is the greatest satisfaction of being a fashion blogger?
Being able to share and connect. Finding my own personal style and helping others find theirs. Communication is the key and when people resonate, it’s the best!

A fashion rule you never break?
I have quite few, actually. For example, I never wear white to someone else’s wedding, unless it’s a dress code. I never wear hosiery with open toe shoes, jeans with running shoes or all-over white before spring.

What do you splurge on?
I spend on staple pieces that last many-many years and don’t go out of style that quick. For example, I’d never spend much on a choker necklace, but spending 60€ or more on a white t-shirt that’s made of a good quality material and suits me well, isn’t anything surprising for me. But I can’t say that it’s splurging, because at the end, I’m actually saving money… I buy that one perfect piece that I wear and it lasts really long. So I think I’m splurging on trendy items the most. There’s something new and interesting every season… shoes and handbags are my weakness.

From your point of view, what is the notable trend for the upcoming season?
I think leopard pattern is coming back. Also I think gold is going out slowly and silver will become much more popular.

Do you make money from your blog? Any advice for others?
SincerelyBitter blog is currently only a hobby. I have done few collaborations with some companies, but nothing major. I think that building a blog, followers and a unique style before monetizing a blog is very important.

What has been your most successful blog post till now and what was it about?
I’d like to define what is successful blog post in my opinion first. It’s not how many likes or views it gets, definitely not! It’s about communication and feedback. Successful blog post is the one, that people communicate with or find lots of inspiration from. One of these posts on my blog isn’t a fashion post, it’s a post about our home office corner (link here:

How do you see your blog in 5 years?
Definitely bigger, fiercer and with better quality content! 😉

Designer – I’ve always loved Oliver Rousteing’s edginess, a lot to get inspiration from!
Fashion Brand – Chanel
Color – white
Quote – Have a CAN-DO attitude and the rest will follow!
Way to relax – doing something fun and different …stepping out from my comfort zone. At first, it challenges me, but at the end I feel energized, relaxed and ready to do anything.
