Blogger Interview: Linda on her mission to enchant you with positive thoughts, lots of fashion glam and inspiration

Most important thing in life is doing what you really love to do and  find what you are passionate about. Linda Marie, young and creative blogger from Germany already knows what her passions are, and she is giving her best to fulfill them. She says that she is creative weirdo, true hippie, dreamer, fashion lover and adventurer, and we would add very creative and inspiring person! We had a little chat about fashion, and I am sure you will enjoy it!

When did you start blogging and how did you come to the idea?

I started blogging in May 2013 when I was 14 years old and discovered the Bloggers‘s World. I‘ve always known, that I have things to tell and share. My intention was to express and collect my creativity. In the beginning I only did it for myself and out of fun, but today I love the contact to my small but lovely readership and to inspire others. Moreover, it is interesting to see the development of myself concerning my attitudes, my style and my texts over nearly 5 years.

Who is your style icon? Why?

Since I am a small girl I love Alexa Chung‘s styles and I still do. But nowadays Lisa Banholzer is my number one style icon and I admire her for her experimental and modern but classy styles.

How do you describe your personal style? What are your inspirations?

That‘s a tough question. I like to experiment with different styles, mixing them up and creating new ones. I guess this is what fashion is for- Expressing and Inventing yourself new everyday. I love extreme opposites, playing with feminine and maskulin, casual/edgy and extremely chic pieces. Most of the time, I prefer neutral tones (my favorite colour is black) and clean forms.

What are the essential pieces you must have in your closet?

I love skirts! They are fun to style and look fashionable no matter what season it is. But essential are definetly a pair of cool jeans, a clean white blouse, a turtleneck and obviously a black evening dress. You can never go wrong with basics, that can be combined in many different ways.

How often do you post? How do you come up with post ideas?

I get inspired in any everyday situation. The secret is, when we speak about Outfit post ideas, to think outside the box and to never be afraid to try something new. Unfortunately my frequency of posts varies from daily to once a month. To blame is school and other engagements. If I could, I would post every day- it is my favorite hobby!

What would you describe the biggest challenge in fashion blogging?

It is hard to keep up with big and international influencers in this business. They have more means to produce content, more contacts, more possibilities. That is why it is important to concentrate on your strengths and to do it out of fun. My claim to myself for every post is an added value for my readers. Moreover it is key for me to stand behind my texts, to spread good vibes, being authentic and inspiring.

What is the greatest satisfaction of being a fashion blogger?

Nice and honest comments are irreplaceable. They make me indescribable happy! Noticing my texts touched someone and made somebody think, I feel very blessed and this is one of the best feelings ever.
But I must admit, that I already get very excited, when a good idea comes to my mind and my plans are feasible. Working on a project, I stand right behind and seeing how it becomes reality step by step, satisfies me a lot and makes me happy.

A fashion rule you never break?

Fashion rules are meaant to be broken. You should never listen to dos and donts, dictated by fashion industry.

Fashion is fun, it is supposed to reflect your character, and there is nothing that looks ugly. No matter what body shape, age or sex you have- wear whatever you want- as long as you feel happy. Our society should stop judging and start breaking every single fashion rule!

What do you splurge on?

Definitely accessories! „This would absolutely top of my outfit“ is one of my go-to-phrases, whenever I pass an accessory-store. Even if the individual pieces do not cost much, the prices of my crazy earring and sunglasses addiction mount up and in the end I am Iike: „well, this escalated quickly“

From your point of view, what is the notable trend for the upcoming season?

As I already mentioned, I am huge earring lover, so I absolutely love is the statement earring trend, that adds the extra touch to any outfit.

Do you make money from your blog? Any advice for others?

Sometimes companies contact me and they send clothes to feature on my blog. I guess this is a good concept, because I am (unfortunately) not able to spend all my money on clothes, just to update my readers with new content and new fashion ideas.

My advice is to just corporate with brands, that suit to your blog and that your readers will like. It is essential to stay yourself!

How do you see your blog in 5 years? can be described as my personal fashion and life diary. I hope this will still be the concept of my blog in 5 years, even if my style and looks might change, because this makes my blog one of a kind. I hope that my five-year-older-me still loves and appreciates what it is doing. Maybe it gets further chances to prosper and to inspire more people. I am very sure to never loose my passion for fashion.

Is there anything that you want to share with us which was not included in the list?
