Blogger Interview: Boundaries between fashion and personal feelings

Every one of us has a unique technique of expressing themself. Someone is doing it through art, music, dance, by playing sport or doing something that they are good at and love doing it. Michelle chooses to express her feelings, emotions, and thoughts through fashion, creating her unique and incredible style. Read the answers and find out what this creative lady has to say!

When did you start blogging and how did you come to the idea?

Ever since I was a little girl It was hard for me to completely express myself I didn’t even know what I was or what I’m going to be, and I still don’t know. I was judged by my friends ( Well, people I considered my friends once). I always thought that is interestingly beautiful the diversity on how everyone dresses, on how does describe who you are or on how you’re feeling at the moment. It was hard for me to wear what i wanted, to hear the music I love because I was scared of being judged by my family and friends.
Since my dad is a photography enthusiast, photography has been part of my life as well.

It started off with my creative fashion portfolio online about 2 years ago. I opened three blogs before, but I didn’t feel my energy there. Until one day
I decided to write about feelings and emotions, realizing all of it together is connected and it is also self-expression. The concept popped up in my head as a celebration of all forms and ways of self-expression through fashion, photography and feelings.

Who is your style icon? Why?

Alexa Chung for sure, she is such a risk taker and everything looks good on her.
How do you describe your personal style? What are your inspirations?

I don’t think I have a specific style, I like to mix a little bit of everything, to built something that makes me feel good and comfortable with.
Even though I lean for bohemian, edgy, chic and 90’s sometimes.

My source of inspiration are moments, experiences, art, places and music. Life and every special part of it is an inspiration for me.

What are the essential pieces you must have in your closet?

Boots, Sneakers and hats.

How often do you post? How do you come up with post ideas?

I post every day on my social media. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
When it comes to a post I try to post once a week. Sundays used to be my posting days, but it has changed lately. It took me about 2 hours to set up a post.
For me to write a post requires inspiration, if I am not feeling inspired I’m not posting, and that is what makes this blog personal and special for me

What would you describe the biggest challenge in fashion blogging?

Find the correct locations, outfits that go with my feelings and what the post is going to be about.

What is the greatest satisfaction of being a fashion blogger?

Being able to express myself 100%, showing the world who I am, and how great is to be who you are.

A fashion rule you never break?

Fashion was created to experiment not to follow rules. You’re free to create new things.

What do you splurge on?

Shoes, shoes and more shoes … Ah! and healthy food.

From your point of view, what is the notable trend for the upcoming season?

This year trends went soft with extravagance, which in my point of view it could make next trends come with strong shoulders, sparkles, whitre big accesories and maxi lenghts.

Do you make money on your blog? Any advice for others?

I don’t make money on my blog (yet). But a lot of awesome online stores have collaborated with me.

My advise would be: Let your essence write or post for you, be you and don’t change your style for others.

What has been your most successful blog post till now and what was it about?

One of them has been “Destroyers build us (Games)” . Is about how some experiences in our lives can actually build us makes us better and stronger persons.

How do you see your blog in 5 years?

With many more views (laughs), merchandise referring the concept of the blog and a community of supporters.

Is there anything that you want to share with us which was not included in the list?

Fashion is art, it is a way of expression, and expressing yourself 100% is one of the main reasons to happiness.
